I think the death rates are very important in the story of replacing native-born with immigrant workers. Politically, it's not so much a "Great Replacement" story, it's more a "capitalism requires workers and will find them" story.

How do these numbers jibe with the Covid death rates? And Long Covid rates?
Looks like ~1.2M deaths and 9M long covid according to CDC:

Do those matter?
I would rather be looking at the labor force participation rate, and this one has been increasing
