How did the top 10 world economies perform in Q1 and Q2 2024?
Time to review the economic growth of the top 10 largest global economies
Before we start, it is worth reminding the Group of Seven (G7), an informal grouping of seven of the world's advanced economies, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States as well as the European Union (EU) as a "non-enumerated member".
All those 7 economies are included in the top 10 largest globally. To complete the list, we have to add China, India, and Brazil.
As the time of writing, all of the aforementioned countries except for Canada, India and Brazil have reported their Q2 2024 gross domestic product (GDP) growth numbers.
Having said that, it would be a good time to review the recent performance of the largest global economic blocs and to analyze their outlook.
