US federal debt rose by $64 billion in just one day
US public debt just hit $35.3 trillion for the 1st time in history, rising by $64 billion in just 1 day. At the current pace, it will get to a jaw-dropping $36.3 trillion by the end of 2024.
As a % of US GDP, the federal debt has reached 123%, near the all-time record.
Even more staggering is that the US government now pays over $3 billion per day on its national debt interest.
This is double the amount paid just 2 years ago.
