⚠️Americans' stock market sentiment has never been so euphoric
US consumers' next 12-month expectations of higher stock prices hit the highest level on record
The share of US consumers expecting higher stock prices over the next 12 months hit 51.4%, the highest since this question was first asked in 1987, according to the Conference Board Consumer Confidence Survey.
This share has doubled over the last 2 years as the US stock market rallied.
This is another indicator showing euphoric sentiment among households.
Will this turn out to be a contrarian indicator over the next few months? History suggests it is likely.
